FAQs

  • Chiropractic is founded upon the principle that the body has the ability to heal itself IF in the proper position.

Chiropractors locate, analyze, and adjust the misaligned areas of the spine to achieve optimal nervous system function.

The objective of the adjustment is to reduce stress to the nervous system caused by spinal misalignments. This allows the body to perform optimally and improve the potential for healing and wellness.

  • An adjustment will not typically hurt. Some patients may experience soreness after the first couple of adjustment when we correct misalignments that have been present for months or even years!

  • As long as you are putting stress on your spine, you will need to do something about it!

Chiropractic is a lifestyle choice. When patients see how great they feel after getting adjusted, they want to continue to stay healthy for life.

  • The number and frequency of adjustments vary from person to person. Most notice some progress within a week or two. As supporting muscles and ligaments heal, and spinal function returns to normal visits may become less frequent. However, cases of long-term spinal neglect may require visits over many months or years.

  • Red light therapy (RLT) pods and tanning beds are very different from one another. RLT does not use harmful UV rays. It emits specific red and near-infrared wavelengths, which are nonionizing, stable, and noninvasive. It also does not tan your skin.

  • The feeling of the heat in the Pod can be compared to a nice warm 80-degree day (not actual temperature of room). A fan is attached to the Pod to help keep you comfortable. You will be able to control the speed, oscillation, and the on/off switch of the fan; however, since the Pod remains somewhat cool and comfortable, we find that many patients do not use the fan.

  • Like with most forms of remedies, a consistent routine and application of RLT will yield the best results. As a general rule of thumb, it is recommended to do 15-minute sessions two to five times a week until desired results are achieved. Once you've reached your goals, frequency can be reduced to once for maintenance.

  • While RLT is safe and non-invasive, minor side effects can occur and include temporary redness, tightness, or irritation of the skin. If you happen to experience any adverse reactions, stop treatment, and contact your physician.

  • Results can vary based on the condition being treated and individual response. Some people may see improvements within a few sessions, while others might take several weeks of consistent use to notice significant changes.
